The staff was extremely nice and firendly and the overall atmosphere was family-like. I liked the "decor" of the place and the fact that it was clean.
I stayed in a single room which was a bit crammy but nicely decorated and eqipped with a tv set. The hotel is not in the very center but it offers easy access vy bus to the main part of the city.

We arrived early ( 10:30 am) and tired. We were greeted so warmly and allowed to check in! It was great. A beautiful large family room. The food was great the staff so helpful. The hostess so helpful and friendly. We were a short bus ride away for the castle and the royal mile Our only regret is that we stayed only one night. We hope to be in the beautiful city of Edinburgh again and stay for many days at the Martin guest house. Our son happily carried the play sword given to him throughout our vacation.

The whole experience was great for me and my family. We got a very warm welcome when we arrived from the owner who was very helpful. Denise told us how to get into town and gave us the route we would need to take to return. The apartment was very nice and was bright and well decorated with everything necessary provided. The breakfast was first class. I would have no hesitation in recommending this guest house.
